A US survey has shown that thousands of moms hide themselves away in the bathroom for important alone time. The study carried out by Ivory showed that 80% of American mums think being a mother is a lot more difficult nowadays than it was 20 years ago and that the most difficult concept is finding ‘me’ time. Around 1,000 mothers were analysed on the realities of their lives and almost nine out of 10 said that they think they’re doing a better job balancing all of the stresses than their own mothers did. However a huge 66% confessed to hiding in their bathroom for peace and quiet. So whilst juggling the cooking, cleaning, washing duties and children, get away into a haven bathroom which has beautiful vanity units and under floor heating.
Further research findings reveal that American mothers receive parenting advice on average three times a week whether they wish to or not, and that nearly 75% feel under pressure to make every outing or play date. Don’t struggle to pay the bills to be like a super hero mother, take time out and also relax in an aromatic bath along with a glass of wine. And be assured the towels will be cosy once you get out to dry because the column radiators would have warmed them up in the mean-time.
A mother can be a household heroine as well as have time alone. Revamp the bathroom with chrome taps to make a sanctuary. Put the children to bed and run sweet-smelling bubble bath into the water and let all your worries drift away. A bathroom may give much needed respite to both mum and dad.
